We’re Nick & Isabel the photographic team behind Spark & Tide.

Working as a team allows us to approach sessions with both creativity and calm energy. While one of us focuses on guiding the session and helping people feel comfortable, the other is often catching the in-between moments that make a gallery feel alive.

Our style is natural, relaxed, and connection-focused. We want your photos to feel like your life actually looks, not overly posed or forced.

When we’re not photographing sessions, we’re usually exploring the coast, discovering new locations, or spending time with family and friends.

THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME

When we were choosing a name, we wanted something that reflected both of us. We wanted it to represent our personalities, creative strengths, and the balance we bring when we work together.

We’ve always loved the idea that relationships are built on a kind of yin and yang: two different energies that complement each other.

Astrology became part of that conversation. Isabel is a Scorpio sun with a Leo rising, while Nick is a Leo sun with a Scorpio rising. In many ways we mirror each other. One of us tends to bring the spark: energy, warmth, and bold momentum. The other brings the tide: calm, intuition, and steady perspective-a balance of fire and water. Those two forces felt like the perfect way to describe how we approach photography.

The Spark represents connection. The excitement, laughter, and chemistry between people. The Tide represents the rhythm of real life. The quieter moments and steady flow of relationships over time.
